Wicked extends booking to 5 November 2016

The West End production of Wicked has announced its 20th booking extension at the Apollo Victoria Theatre, with 500,000 new tickets on sale from 10am on Monday 7 September 2015. The musical is now booking until 5 November 2016.

Nine years since it first opened, the show continues to play to capacity houses and, as it prepares to enter its 10th Anniversary Year, becomes the 9th longest-running show in the West End on 5 September following the final performance of 'The 39 Steps'. The musical is now the 19th longest-running show in West End theatre history.

As of 21 September 2015, the cast of Wicked includes Emma Hatton (Elphaba), Savannah Stevenson (Glinda), Oliver Savile (Fiyero), Liza Sadovy (Madame Morrible), Tom McGowan (The Wizard), Sean Kearns (Doctor Dillamond), Daniel Hope (Boq), and Katie Rowley Jones (Nessarose).

The show opened at the Apollo Victoria Theatre on 27 September 2006, following previews from 07 September, and has since been seen by almost 6 million people. Based on the novel by Gregory Maguire, Wicked has music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, and a book by Winnie Holzman.

The musical is directed by Joe Mantello, scenic design by Eugene Lee, costumes by Susan Hilferty, lighting by Kenneth Posner, sound by Tony Meola, orchestrations by William David Brohn, musical staging by Wayne Cilento.

Wicked is produced by Marc Platt, Universal Stage Productions, The Araca Group, Jon B. Platt, David Stone, and Michael McCabe.
