Adrian Lester, Jason Manford and Meow Meow to star in Guys and Dolls at Royal Albert Hall

Special concert performances of Guys and Dolls have been announced at the Royal Albert Hall in October, with a cast including Adrian Lester, Jason Manford and Meow Meow.

Telling the story of New York's smooth gamblers, heavy gangsters and nightclub performers, the musical features some classic Broadway tunes, including "Luck Be a Lady Tonight", "Sit Down, You're Rocking the Boat" and "If I Were a Bell".

The three concert performances, conducted by Stephen Mear, will take place at the Royal Albert Hall on 19th and 20th October.

Sky Materson will be played by Lester, while Manford will play Nathan Detroit and Meow Meow, who was most recently seen on stage alongside Barry Humpheries, plays Miss Adelaide.

The cast also includes Clive Rowe, Jon Stilgoe, Cory English, Alexis Owen Hobbs, Nia Jermin, Matthew Whennell-Clark, Sevan Stephan, Dan Burton, Stephane Annelli and Julian Forsyth.  

Guys and Dolls ​was last seen in the West End when it was revived in 2015 starring Sophie Thompson and Jamie Parker, and later, Rebel Wilson making her West End debut, and Simon Lipkin.

It has a score by Frank Loesser, and a book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows. The concerts will be designed by Morgan Large, and have musical direction by James McKeon.

Guys and Dolls will be at the Royal Alert Hall on 19th and 20th October.
