Broadway Legend Bernadette Peters returns to the UK

It has been announced that Broadway legend Bernadette Peters will make a welcome return to the UK, performing her first solo show in 15 years, with dates in London and Manchester in June 2016.

The triple Tony, double Drama Desk and Golden Globe Award winning star will perform a one night solo performance at the Southbank Centre on Friday 3 June 2016, as well as a performance on Sunday 5 June 2016 at Manchester Opera House.

She will perform selections from her most well-known roles such as Mama Rose in 'Gypsy', The Witch in 'Into the Woods' and Dot in 'Sunday in the Park with George'.

Bernadette is known to musical theatre fans internationally for her Broadway credits, especially her work with composer Stephen Sondheim. Not only has she starred in the original Broadway productions of Into the Woods and Sunday in the Park with George, she also headlined the recent Broadway revivals of A Little Night Music and Follies.

She is currently starring the Amazon Prime series 'Mozart in the Jungle' on Amazon Prime, and has appeared in no less than 33 films and TV movies, including 'Smash', 'Annie', 'Pink Cadillac' and 'Pennies from Heaven'.
