Burn the Floor dance into Shaftesbury Theatre 21 July

Latin and Ballroom dance show Burn the Floor opens at the Shaftesbury Theatre 26 July 2010, following previews from 21 July - running to 4 Sep 2010.

Features guest dancers Brian Fortuna, best known for his performances on two series of Strictly Come Dancing, and former The Bill and Hollyoaks actress, Ali Bastian.

The company also features 20 international dancers from around the globe — Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Russia, Australia, Malaysia, Venezuela and the U.S. and includes Australian Ballroom and World Latin American champions. The dancers, who collectively hold more than 100 dance titles.

The show was first conceived as a special performance at Sir Elton John's 50th birthday celebration in 1997. Two years later, the show made its world premiere in the UK before touring the world, including Broadway.
