Christmas In New York, at the Apollo (Instead of Lyric), Shaftesbury Ave for one night only on Sunday 10 December 2006 featuring an array of West End performers in a seasonally inspired show celebrating contemporary composers.

Directed by David Randall, starring Josie Walker, Julie Atherton, Paul Spicer, who are joined by Cassidy Janson, James Gillan and Oliver Tompsett from 'Wicked', Jon Robyns and Clare Foster from 'Avenue Q', Sophia Ragavelas who is currently playing Fantine in Les Misérables and Melanie La Barrie , who originated the role of Mrs Corry in the première of Mary Poppins and is now performing in new musical Daddy Cool.

Featuring a selection of seasonal songs by acclaimed American composers including Alan Menken, Andrew Lippa, Craig Carnelia, David Friedman, Frank Wildhorn and Jason Robert Brown, Christmas in New York will also include the world première of a specially commissioned song by British composer Grant Olding, whose work was previously profiled in Not(es) from New York earlier this year. Charles Miller’s song Christmas in New York provides the title for the show and some familiar tunes are interspersed along the way.
