Dirty Rotten Scoundrels to close 7 March 2015 - Savoy

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, a musical stage adaptation of the movie, has announced that it will close on 7 March 2015, at the Savoy Theatre, prior to a two year UK tour, starting at Birmingham's New Alexandra Theatre on 5 May 2015, followed by international productions in Germany, Australia and South Korea.

The West End cast includes Robert Lindsay (Lawrence Jameson), Alex Gaumond (Freddy Benson), Katherine Kingsley (Christine Colgate), Bonnie Langford (Muriel Eubanks), Ben Fox (Andre Thibault), Lizzy Connolly (Jolene), Gavin Alex, Darren Bennett, Niamh Bracken, Lisa Bridge, Darren Carnall, Andy Conaghan, Phoebe Coupe, Claire Doyle, Alice Fearn, Selina Hamilton, Ian Knauer, Lisa Mathieson, Zak Nemorin, Genevieve Nicole, Javier Santos, Todd Talbot, Dominic Tribuzio, Jon Tsouras and Zara Warren.

The show has music and lyrics by David Yazbek and book by Jeffrey Lane, and is directed by Jerry Mitchell, with set and costume design by Peter McKintosh. Produced by Ambassador Theatre Group, Jerry Mitchell Productions and Tulchin/Bartner Productions.

Synopsis: "Set on the French Riviera where the decadent world of sophisticated conman Lawrence Jameson comes crashing down with the arrival of larger-than-life Freddy Benson - a completely different type of conman. The two find themselves going head to head in the con of their lives, pulling out all of the stops in a bid for the affections Christine Colgate, a millionaire soap heiress."

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels opened at the Savoy Theatre on 1 April 2014, following previews from 10 March 2014.
