European Arts Company will present a new adaptation of Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray adapted by Merlin Holland and John O'Connor at the Trafalgar Studios 2 which runs from 18 January to 13 February 2016, with an official opening on 20 January 2016.

The production will mark the 125th anniversary of Oscar Wilde's only novel which has been freshly adapted by Merlin Holland, Wilde's only grandson.

"Set in the decadent world of Victorian London, a beautiful young man - Dorian Gray - becomes infatuated by the exquisite portrait that Basil Hallward has painted of him. He makes a Faustian pact that he will remain forever young while the picture grows old."

The cast for the production will include Guy Warren-Thomas, Rupert Mason and Helen Keeley.

Directed by Peter Craze, it will feature designs by Dora Schweitzer, costumes by Anett Black , lighting design by Duncan Hands, sound design by Matthew Eaton and movement by Keith O'Brien.

European Arts Company is a national and international touring theatre company based at the Hazlitt Theatre in Kent. For the past 13 years, they have been touring classic plays all over the UK, Ireland, Germany, Greece and Italy.
