The world premiere of Bear Trap Theatre's latest production Enduring Song, written and directed by Jesse Briton, has been confirmed to take place at the Southwark Playhouse. Previews begin on Wednesday 11 June, with an Opening Night scheduled for 13 June and the run concluding on Saturday 5 July 2014.

This marks Jesse Briton's second outing at the Southwark Playhouse, having already been nominated for Most Promising Playwright at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards for his debut play Bound in 2011.

Enduring Song is set in 'France. 1096. Matthew, a young French Knight, sets out on the First Crusade. Behind him he leaves a broken family, crumbling ancestral farm and teenage sister who must save it all from ruin. From the fields of France to the churches of Antioch and the siege of Jerusalem, Enduring Song is an historical epic about love, hope and family.'

The Bear Trap Theatre production has designs by Buddug James Jones and musical direction by Max Macintosh.
