"Epitaph For George Dillon" with Joseph Fiennes at Comedy Theatre from 20 Sep 2005

It is now confirmed that Epitaph For George Dillon by John Osborne and Anthony Creighton, opens at the Comedy Theatre 27 Sep 2005, following previews from 20 Sep 2005, starring Joseph Fiennes as 'George Dillon'.

It is directed by Peter Gill, produced by Act Productions, Roger Chapman, Matthew Mitchell and Kim Poster.

A domestic and political drama of hope and disillusionment set in a lower middle class household in South London. The Elliots live their unhappy suburban life until 'Kate Elliot' brings home a surrogate for her son killed in war, the charismatic and bohemian 'George Dillon' (Joseph Fiennes). He is an aspiring actor and penniless writer recently freed from the constraints of employment, his fall cushioned by the kindness and generosity of 'Kate Elliot'.

35 year-old JOSEPH FIENNES' London theatre credits include "Son of Man" at the Barbican Pit in 1995, "Troilus And Cressida", at the Barbican Theatre in 1996, "The Herbal Bed" at the Barbican Pit in 1996, and "Real Classy Affair" at the Royal Court Upstairs in 1998; "Love's Labour's Lost" at the Olivier, NT in 2003; "Julius Caesar" at the Barbican 2005
