The Above the Stag Theatre in Vauxhall, south London will present the premiere of new play with music Fanny and Stella: The Shocking True Story by Glenn Chandler with music by Charles Miller from Daly from 13 May to 14 June 2015, with an official opening on 15 May 2015.

"Victorians Thomas Ernest Boulton and Frederick William Park were adored as Fanny and Stella. They dazzled in female roles on our nation's stages - and in clubs and bedrooms from London to the Highlands. 'Tonight - for one night only!' - they present the shocking story of their own rise to fame and fall from grace. The play tells the tale of two young men who were put on trial for dressing as women and conspiracy to commit sodomy, a felony at the time. They were finally acquitted, an amazing victory at a time when sexual acts between men carried a sentence of two years. "

The production will star Christopher Bonwell, James Robert Moore, Alexander Allin and Phil Sealey with direction by Steven Dexter. It is produced by artistic director Peter Bull.
