It has been announced that Fiasco Theater Company's production of Into the Woods by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine will run at the Menier Chocolate Factory in south London from 1 July to 17 September 2016, with an official opening on 12 July 2016.

The production will feature the original US cast and is described as having "10 actors, one piano and boundless imagination" that will bring this "witty and wildly theatrical re-invention" to life.

Featuring a score by Stephen Sondheim and a book by James Lapine, the musical has been presented numerous times in London, most recently at the Open Air Theatre in Regent's Park. The musical was also recently turned into a film which starred James Corden, Emily Blunt and Meryl Streep.

This new production will be directed by Noah Brody and Ben Steinfeld, and will feature musical supervision by Matt Castle and choreography by Lisa Shriver. Set design is by Derek McLane, with costumes by Whitney Locher, lighting by Christopher Akerlind and sound by Darron L West. It is presented in association with Michael Harrison Entertainment and David Ian Productions.

Fiasco Theater previously presented the production alongside the Roundabout Theatre Company which opened at the Laura Pels Theatre, off-Broadway, on 22 January 2015, following previews from 18 December 2014, and closed on 12 April 2015.
