Flora the Red Menace at the Ye Olde Rose and Crown

All Star Productions Ltd presents Flora the Red Menace, at the Ye Olde Rose and Crown Theatre, a fringe venue in Walthamstow, east London, from 15 May to 1 June 2012.

Music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, book by David Thompson. Directed by Randy Smartnick, with musical direction by Aaron Clingham.

Cast features Katy Baker, Ellen Verenieks Carly Mackelvie, Kimberley Moses, Simon Ouldred,Greg Sheffield, Will Pearce.

Fashion designer Flora Mezaros, a member of an artists co-operative is struggling to find work during the Great Depression. She is hired by a large department store at which time she falls in love with Harry, a struggling designer, who attempts to convert Flora to his Communist ideals. Even though it compromises her job in an organization which does not recognize the new unions she seeks to hold down both job and relationship.
