Full Cast announced for Goodnight Mister Tom at Phoenix

The full cast has been announced for the Chichester production of Goodnight Mister Tom, adapted by David Wood, from the classic novel by Michelle Magorian, which opens at the Phoenix Theatre 27 Nov 2012, following previews from 22 Nov - running to 26 Jan 2013, when the play goes on a UK tour.

Joining previously announced Oliver Ford Davies as Mister Tom, are Louise Collins, Joanne Howarth, Aoife McMahon, Freya Parker , Georgina Sutton, Alan Vicary , Jonathan Warde , Emma Drysdale , Elisa de Grey , Bradley Hall, Osmund Bullock.

Six young performers have been cast in the roles of Zach and William. Arthur Gledhill Franks, Jamie Goldberg and Ewan Harris will alternate the role of William. Joseph Holgate, Thiago Los and William Price will alternate as Zach.

Directed by Angus Jackson, designed by Robert Innes Hopkins , lighting by Tim Mitchell, choreography by Lizzi Gee, sound by Gregory Clarke. It is produced by Fiery Angel, The Ambassador Theatre Group, Fiery Dragons & The Children's Touring Partnership.

Set during the dark and dangerous build up to the Second World War, Goodnight Mister Tom follows sad William Beech, who is evacuated to the idyllic English countryside and builds a remarkable and moving friendship with the elderly recluse Tom Oakley. All seems perfect until William is devastatingly summoned by his mother back to London.
