More celebrity faces have been added to the line-up for murder mystery Whodunnit [Unrehearsed] 3 at London’s Park Theatre, which is raising funds to combat the rising costs of making theatre and running the venue during the cost-of-living crisis.

Joining the show are Amanda Abbington, Asim Chaudhry, and Christopher Biggins. They, along with more than 40 other celebrity guests, will take on the role of the Inspector in this fundraising spoof, which returns to the Park Theatre for a third time.

Each night one celebrity will take to the stage, without ever seeing the script and only hearing their lines via an earpiece moments before speaking. Who is cast as the Inspector will remain a mystery to the audience until the curtain goes up.

Richard Kind joins Ian McKellen in providing the narration for the fundraiser. Benedict Cumberbatch, Beverley Knight, Adrian Lester, and Jodie Whittaker also join the show as the Inspector.

Confirmed guests who will return to the role of the Inspector include Clive Anderson, Gillian Anderson, David Baddiel, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Marcus Brigstocke, Brian Cox, Simon Callow, Michelle Collins, Nina Conti, Victoria Coren Mitchell, Les Dennis, Adrian Dunbar, Mark Gatiss, Tamsin Greig, David Haig, Harry Hill, Adam Hills, Ronan Keating, Ross Kemp, Maureen Lipman, Gareth Malone, Jason Manford, Stephen Mangan, Tim McInnerny, David Mitchell, Neil Morrissey, Eddie Nestor, Sue Perkins, Clarke Peters, Daisy Ridley, Rob Rinder, Meera Syal, Tony Robinson, Catherine Tate, Sandi Toksvig, Johnny Vegas, Tim Vine, and Greg Wise.

The Park Theatre’s permanent company of actors will take on the other roles in the show and include Lewis Bruniges, Caroline Deverill, Molly Barton, Robert Blackwood, Natasha Colenso, Anshula Bain, Ciarán Dowd, and Matthew Romain.

The creative team includes Jez Bond (director and writer), Mark Cameron (writer), Zahra Mansouri (set and costume designer), Julian McCready (lighting design), Victor Craven (projection design and animation), John Leonard (sound Design), and Will Houstoun (illusion design).

Bond said: “I’m thrilled to be bringing the third instalment of Whodunnit to the stage – determined to move things forward each time this show further develops the concept with even more gags, more surprises and a sparkle of magic thrown on top. Once again we’re delighted with the host of stars who are kindly giving up their time to support the charity – particularly at this challenging time for arts funding in London."
