The West End production of Ghost Stories has announced that it will play its final performance at the Arts Theatre on 15 March 2015, at the end of its current booking period. The production will have played almost 1000 performances.

The show mixes live theatre with "the intense buzz of a thrill-ride" and has been restaged and reimagined by writers Jeremy Dyson ('The League of Gentlemen') and Andy Nyman ('Severence') alongside director Sean Holmes.

Ghost Stories originally opened in Liverpool in February 2010 as a co-production between the Everyman Theatre and the Lyric Hammersmith. It later transferred to the Duke of York's Theatre in London's West End, before travelling to Toronto and Moscow.

The production opened at the Arts Theatre on 27 February 2014 following previews from 13 February.

Co-creator of the show Andy Nyman said of the announcement:

"When Jeremy and I first conceived Ghost Stories, we never expected that the show would go on to be a cult hit, playing all over the world, with people returning time and again to be scared out of their minds. We're hugely proud of its success..."
