Ghost the Musical extends to 13 Oct 2012

Ghost the Musical, based on the Academy Award winning film "Ghost," has extended its run at the Piccadilly Theatre and is now booking to 13 October 2012.

Ghost the Musical opened at the Piccadilly Theatre on 19 Jul 2011, following previews from 24 Jun 2011 to mixed, but mostly reasonable notices from the popular press: THE EVENING STANDARD says, "Has plenty of dazzle." THE DAILY TELEGRAPH says, "Looks set to keep audiences laughing, gasping and sniffing back tears for a long time to come" THE GUARDIAN says, "It mostly lacks: heart and soul."

Sam is trapped as a ghost between this world and the next trying to communicate with his girlfriend Molly through a phoney psychic in the hope of saving her from his murderer.

Directed by Matthew Warchus, the cast features Richard Fleeshman (Sam Wheat), Caissie Levy (Molly Jensen), Sharon D Clarke (Oda Mae Brown), Andrew Langtree (Carl Bruner), Ivan de Freitas (Willie Lopez), Adebayo Bolaji (Subway Ghost), Mark White (Hospital Ghost), Lisa Davina Phillip (Clara) and Jenny Fitzpatrick (Louise).

Ghost the Musical has music and lyrics by Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard. Bruce Joel Rubin has adapted his original screen play for the stage.

The creative team features set and costume designs are by Rob Howell, choreography by Ashley Wallen, with musical supervision and arrangements by Christopher Nightingale, illusions by Paul Kieve, lighting by Hugh Vanstone, sound by Simon Baker and projection design by Jon Driscoll.
