Further casting has been announced for Rosmersholm at the Duke of York's Theatre, originally written by Henrik Ibsen and adapted by Duncan Macmillan.

Ibsen's play centres on Johannes Rosmer, a man who continues to mourn the loss of his wife a year after her death. Along with his housekeeper Rebecca West, the pair feel the ghostly presence of Rosmer's wife impacting their every move. For the upcoming adaptation at the Duke of York's Theatre, Johannes Rosmer is renamed to John Rosmer as he makes big decisions that see him contemplate whether to follow previously upheld tradition or explore newer alternatives.

Joining the previously announced casting of Tom Burke as John Rosmer and Hayley Atwell as Rebecca West, the Olivier-Award winning Giles Terera will star in the production, who received best actor in a musical at the 2018 Olivier Awards for his performance as Aaron Burr in Hamilton

Lucy Briers also joins the cast, with notable credits including Catherine of Aragon in Wolf Hall at the Aldwych Theatre, reprising her role on Broadway. Further casting includes Jake Fairbrother, with previous theatre credits including Henrik Ibsen's Lady from the Sea at the Donmar Warehouse and Hamlet at the National TheatrePeter Wight will also star in Rosmersholm, who has recently starred in The Birthday Party at the Harold Pinter Theatre opposite Zoe Wanamaker and Stephen Mangan, as well as Hamlet at the Almeida Theatre with Michael Scott in the lead role.

Rosmersholm is at the Duke of York's Theatre from 24th April to 20th July.
