Golden Girls' Bea Arthur at the Savoy in Sep 03

80 year old Bea Arthur is to take her one-woman show to the Savoy Theatre, opening 15 Sep 03, following previews from 12 Sep 03, and booking for a limited season to 18 Oct 03.

The show, titled Bea Arthur At the Savoy, follows a US regional tour in 2001 and a Broadway run in 2002, where she was nominated for a Tony.

Bea Arthur is best known as 'Dorothy' in the hit 80s TV series "The Golden Girls" and also as 'Maude Findlay' in the controversial 70's TV series 'Maude".

Bea Arthur will be accompanied at the piano by her musical director Billy Goldenberg.

In the show, Bea reminiscences about her life and career and sings songs from various musicals she has played in.
