Grasses Of A Thousand Colours extends to 27 June

Grasses Of A Thousand Colours, by Wallace Shawn, which opens at the Royal Court Upstairs 18 May 2009, following follwing previews 12 May 2009 - extends booking period 2 weeks to 27 June 2009.

A statement from the Royal Court says the show has been extended "Due to unprecedented demand for tickets". "Grasses Of A Thousand Colours has already surpassed advance sales figures for any play in the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs (the record was previously held by Polly Stenham's Tusk Tusk), and is expected to break overall sales records for the Royal Court's second space later this week."

Wallace Shawn's first new play in over a decade is directed by Andre Gregory, and features Miranda Richardson, Wallace Shawn, Emily McDonnell, Jennifer Tilly.

The scientist who tinkered with the universe tells us of his many loves. As his self-obsession literally consumes him, we listen to tales of food, sex and man's true best friend. An extreme, disturbing, and funny vision of the embattled relationship between man and beast.
