"Grease" extends 7 weeks to 19 Apr 03

The musical Grease, has been extended by 7 weeks at the Victoria Palace Theatre and is now taking bookings to 19 Apr 03.

This production of Grease opened at the Dominion Theatre in 1993 and transferred to the Cambridge in 1996 where it played until Sep 1999. The show toured then opened in the West End again in Oct 2001 at the Dominion Theatre for a limited two week run. It arrived back to the West End last September at the Victoria Palace where it is now booking to 19 Apr 03.

Grease premiered on Broadway in 1972, and was made into a succesful film in 1978 starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton John .

Songs from the show include "Grease (Is The Word)"; "You're The One That I Want"; "Greased Lightning"; "Hopelessly Devoted To You" and "Sandy".

The show is written by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, with additional songs B Gibb, J Farrar, L St Louis & S Simon.

It is directed by David Gilmore and choreographed by Arlene Phillips.
