Into the Woods at the Linbury Studio Theatre

The musical, Into the Woods , will open at the Linbury Studio Theatre, Royal Opera House, 18 June 2007, following previews from 14 June, for a very limited run to 30 June 2007.

Music & Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, book by James Lapine, the show features Beverley Klein, Anne Reid, Clive Rowe, Gillian Kirkpatrick, Peter Caulfield, Elizabeth Brice, Martin Nelson, Suzanne Toase, Linda Hibberd, Nicholas Garrett, Katrina Murphy, Nic Greenshields, Byron Watson. They will be accompanied by 14 musicians with James Holmes conducting.

It is directed by Will Tuckett, with designs and costumes by Lez Brotherston, and lighting by Tim Mitchell.

A bewitching cast of classic characters romp through a 'happy ever after' kingdon in this musical fairytale. Interweaving a mix of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, the Baker's Wife, Jack and the Beanstalk and Rapunzel, in a multi-layered plot.
