Jonathan Kent's new production of Hamlet performed in Japanese with English surtitles will be at the Sadler's Wells Theatre 28 Aug to 6 Sep 03, with an all-male cast. (Press night 29 Aug)

Normura Mansai, one of Japan's leading classical actors and practitioners of Kyogen, will play the title role. He played the part when the production opened earlier this year in Tokyo's Setagaya Public Theatre.

The play is designed by Paul Brown, with lighting Tim Mitchell and music by Joseph Phibbs.

It is produced by Thelma Holt in association with HoriPro Inc. and Setagaya Public Theatre.
