"Jus' Like That!" Tommy Cooper comedy at Garrick 3 Apr 03

It is reported that Jus' Like That! , a comedy about the late Tommy Cooper, will be at the Garrick Theatre from 3 Apr 03. (This will replace "This is Our Youth" currently playing at the Garrick to 15 Mar 03)

The show features Jerome Flynn as Tommy Cooper.

It is created and written by John Fisher, directed by Simon Callow, with design by Christopher Woods and lighting by Nick Richings. Musical staging is by Lionel Blair.

The show is touring prior to the West End under the title "Cooper!". It is at Malvern ( 5 -15 Mar 03) ; Oxford (17 - 22 Mar 03); and Plymouth 24 - 29 Mar 03) .

One of the nation's most beloved natural clowns is brought vividly to live in this show. All the familiar trademarks are here - the fez, the laugh, the 'hats' routine, the bottle and the glass - just like that. But the play also offers an insight into the more private man providing a behind the scenes insight in to the working life of the manic magician. The play is set on the night Tommy Cooper died on stage at Her Majesty's Theatre in 1984 of a heart attack.
