KEVIN ELYOT'S NEW PLAY "MOUTH TO MOUTH" CONFIRMED AS OPENING IN FEB 01

It is now confirmed that Kevin Elyot's new play Mouth to Mouth, will open at the Royal Court Downstairs on 6th Feb 01, following previews from 1st Feb 01, for a limited season to 10th Mar 01.

The cast includes Lindsay Duncan, Michael Maloney, Barnaby Kay, Andrew McKay, Lucy Whybrow, and Peter Wight. It is directed by Ian Rickson, with design by Mark Thompson and lighting by Hugh Vanstone.

Mouth to Mouth is Kevin Elyot's second play for the Royal Court. His first, My Night With Reg , transferred from the Theatre Upstairs to the West End and has since been produced around the world. His other works include Coming Clean at the Bush Theatre and The Day I Stood Still, at the Royal National Theatre.

Synopsis: A garden in Balham - late summer. Laura and Frank, old friends make desultory small talk over the sound of birds, lawnmovers and children playing. Unmentioned yet ever present between them is a tragedy that unfolded the previous summer, a tragedy resulting from tempestuous and hidden passions, a tragedy for which Frank feels a guilt he cannot admit to.
