It is now confirmed that the Yvonne Arnaud Guildford production of Terence Rattigan's Man and Boy, starring David Suchet will open at the Duchess Theatre on 7 Feb 2005, following previews from 1 Feb 2005, for a limited 10 week season to 16 April 2005.

It is directed by Maria Aiken, designed by Simon Higlett, ligfting by Mark Hughes, sound & music by Howard Davidson and produced by Yvonne Arnaud Guildford production, presented in London by Thelma Holt, Bill Kenwright, Nica Burns and Michael Whitehall.

Powerful financier Gregor Antonescu (David Suchet) visits his estranged son, Basil, at his Greenwich Village apartment in an attempt to extricate himself from the most catastrophic disaster of his career. After newspaper headlines report that the FBI are looking for Gregor, one by one his wife and business associates desert him. Only his son refuses to leave. The play, set in New York in the 1930's, confronts the relationship between a father and son against a backdrop of love, betrayal and high finance.

DAVID SUCHET'S West End credits include "What a Performance" at the Queens in 1994, "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" at the Aldwych in 1997, and "Amadeus" at the Old Vic in 1998. But he is most famous for his TV role as Agatha Christie's Belgian detective Hercule Poirot.
