Marisha Wallace to return to Waitress at the Adelphi Theatre

It has been announced that Marisha Wallace will reprise her West End role as Becky in Waitress at the Adelphi Theatre.

Wallace will join the cast from 6th January, taking over the role of Becky from Sandra Marvin. In 2020, Wallace will star as Motormouth Maybelle in the revival of Hairspray at the London Coliseum.

The trio of waitresses will be completed in the New Year by Evelyn Hoskins, who will join the cast as Dawn from 25th January, taking over the role from Hannah Tointon. Recently starring in Assassins at Nottingham Playhouse, Hoskins' West End appearances include Spring Awakening, with recent theatre credits including Assassins and Cool Rider.

They will join Sara Bareilles and Gavin Creel who reprise their Broadway performances as Jenna and Dr. Pomatter, who will star in the West End production of Waitress from 27th January to 7th March.

The cast of Waitress currently stars Lucie Jones as Jenna, Joel Montague as Ogie, Tamlyn Henderson as Earl, David Hunter as Dr. Pomatter, Andrew Boyer as Old Joe, Richard Taylor Woods as Cal, Rosemary Nkrumah, Piers Bate, Cindy Belliot, Ben Morris, Olivia Moore, Nathaniel Morrison, Sarah O'Connor, Leanne Pinder, Matthew Rowland, Laura Selwood, Lucia De Wan, Mark Willshire and Madison Worley.

Featuring an original score by Sara Bareilles, Waitress tells the story of Jenna Hunterson as she enters a pie-making competition to start a new life for her and her unborn child.

Later this year, Lucie Jones will perform a solo concert at the Adelphi Theatre, accompanied by the London Musical Theatre Orchestra.

Waitress is at the Adelphi Theatre to 4th July 2020.
