
Mark Curry to return to ‘Wicked’ as the Wizard

There’s a new wizard in town! Mark Curry will take over the role of the Wizard in Wicked from 18 Oct. 2022. Wicked is at the Apollo Victoria Theatre. Book Wicked tickets on London Theatre.
Mark Curry previously played The Wizard from 2016 to 2017 as part of the 10th anniversary London cast. The Blue Peter presenter previously starred in the 50th anniversary of Move Over Mrs Markham.
“I’m thrilled to be returning to Oz after 5 years away and to have this opportunity to play The Wizard again in the incredible Wicked. I look forward to joining this brilliant cast and working again with the fantastic creative team and producers,” said Curry.
Gary Wilmot will play his final performance as The Wizard on 16 Oct. 2022.
Lucie Jones leads the Wicked cast as Elphaba, joined by Helen Woolf as Glinda, Ryan Reid as Fiyero, Sophie-Louise Dann as adame Morrible, Gary Wilmot as The Wizard, Carina Gillespie as Nessarose, Nicholas McLean as Boq and Simeon Truby as Doctor Dillamond. The Wicked cast is subject to change from 7 Mar. 2023.
