Sophie Evans to reprise role of Glinda in ‘Wicked’, full reopening cast announced

'Wicked' will celebrate its 15th anniversary in London this year.

"Thank Goodness!" The returning cast for Wicked in London has been named, ahead of performances resuming later this month. Wicked is at the Apollo Victoria Theatre from 15 September, with Wicked tickets on sale now.

Sophie Evans will return to Wicked to reprise the role of Glinda. Evans starred as Glinda from 2017 - 2019, opposite Alice Fearn as Elphaba.

All other Wicked leads will resume their roles they were in, prior to the shutdown of theatres in March 2020. Laura Pick will resume the role of Elphaba, with Alistair Brammer as Fiyero, Kim Ismay as Madame Morrible, Andy Hockley as The Wizard, Simeon Truby as Doctor Dillamond, Carina Gillespie as Nessarose and Nicholas McLean as Boq. Amy Webb and Charli Baptie are the Elphaba and Glinda standbys respectively. 

The Wicked cast is completed by Meg Astin, Rebecca Botterill, Lauren Brooke, Grace Chapman, Michael Colbourne, Conor Crown, Lewis Easter, Nolan Edwards, Joseph Fletcher, Fraser Fraser, Rebecca Gilliland, Lucie Horsfall, Nick Len, Will Lucas, Nicole Lupino, Stuart Maciver, Carl Man, Rhidian Marc, Jessica-Alice McCluskey, Stacey McGuire, Emmie Ray, Natalie Spriggs, Scott Sutcliffe, Genevieve Taylor, Samantha Thomas, Grant Thresh, James Titchener, Libby Watts, Chiarina Woodall and Tom Woollaston. 

Set as a prequel to The Wizard of Oz, Wicked imagines Elphaba's life and explores how she earned her title as the Wicked Witch of the West. Music and lyrics for Wicked are by Stephen Schwartz, with songs including "Dancing Through Life" and "No Good Deed."
