
‘Wicked’ announces new booking period, performances to November 2022
The Wicked cast will change from 1 February.
Wicked continues to turn the West End green with an extended booking period confirmed. Wicked performances will now run at the Apollo Victoria Theatre to 27 Nov. 2022, and Wicked tickets are on sale now.
Wicked follows the lives of Elphaba and Glinda as they become the Good Witch and the Wicked Witch of the West. Wicked features original music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz including "Popular" and "Dancing Through Life", and recently celebrated its 15th anniversary in the West End, making it the fifth longest-running musical in London.
The Wicked cast is currently led by Laura Pick as Elphaba, Sophie Evans as Glinda, Alistair Brammer as Fiyero, Kim Ismay as Madame Morrible, Andy Hockley as The Wizard, Carina Gillespie as Nessarose, Nicholas McLean as Boq and Simeon Truby as Doctor Dillamond. A Wicked cast change will take place on 1 February, with the new cast for Wicked in London to be announced at a later date.
Wicked is based on Gregory Maguire's novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West and is adapted for the stage by Winnie Holzman. Joe Mantello directs, with scenic design by Eugene Lee,costume design by Susan Hilferty, lighting design by Kenneth Postner and sound design by Tony Meola.
