Michael Greco & Gaby Roslin to join Chicago

It is confirmed that Michael Greco & Gaby Roslin are to join the cast of Chicago, at the Adelphi Theatre from 18 Nov 02

TV presenter Gaby Roslin will be making her West End stage debut in the role of butch prison matron Mama Morton. (Currently played by Chrissie Hammond ).

The former EastEnders' star Michael Greco will play the role of lawyer Billy Flynn (Currently played by Marti Pellow ).

It is reported that Linzi Hateley will play 'Roxie', Tiffany Graves as 'Velma' and David Birrell as 'Amos Hart' from 18 Nov 02.

Chicago opened in London on 18 November 1997 to rave reviews and immediately became a sell-out hit. It won the 1998 Laurence Olivier Award for 'Outstanding Musical Production' as well as the 1998 Critics Circle Drama Award for 'Best Musical'.

Chicago, which is based on the play by Maurine Dallas Watkins, has a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb. Scenic design is by John Lee Beatty, costume design by William Ivey Long, lighting by Ken Billington and sound by Rick Clarke. Musical supervision is by Rob Fisher and musical direction by Gareth Valentine. It is choreographed by Ann Reinking in the style of Bob Fosse and directed by Walter Bobbie.
