David Tennant & Catherine Tate to star together on stage for the first time in Much Ado About Nothing, by William Shakespeare, which opens at the Wyndham's Theatre 1 June 2011, following previews from 16 May - running to 3 Sep 2011

David Tennant (Benedick), is best known as the 10th doctor in the BBC series Doctor Who. His London stage credits include "Hamlet" at the Novello in 2008/09;"The Pillowman" at the Cottesloe, NT in 2003; "Lobby Hero" at Donmar Warehouse & New Ambassadors in 2002.

Catherine Tate (Beatrice) is an actress and comedienne best-known for her BBC Two sketch comedy series, The Catherine Tate Show, and for playing the Doctor's companion Donna Noble, opposite David Tennant in Doctor Who. Her London stage credits include "Season's Greetings", currently playing at the Lyttleton, NT; "Under The Blue Sky" at the Duke of York's in 2008; "Some Girls" at the Gielgud in 2005.

Two young lovers Claudio and Hero are to be married imminently but the devious scheming of a resentful Prince looks set to thwart the nuptials. Meanwhile, marriage seems inconceivable for reluctant lovers Beatrice and Benedick whose endless witty sparring threatens to keep them apart forever.
