New casting announced for The Ferryman in the West End

New casting has been announced for the West End run of The Ferryman, following the news actor Paddy Considine would not be continuing in the production after October.

The original company will give its final performance on 7th October, and then the cast will include:

The full company is comprised of 37 performers; 17 main adults, 7 covers, 12 children (on rota) and 1 baby. The production runs at the Gielgud Theatre until 6th January 2018.

Jez Butterworth's play is set in rural Derry during The Troubles in Ireland. It follows the Carney farmhouse which is abuzz with activity ahead of the annual harvest, but they are interrupted by an unexpected visitor.

The Ferryman premiered at the Royal Court earlier this year, and received a flurry of five-star reviews from the critics.
