Want to understand more about the 'nuts and bolts' of opera? Then this day is ideal opportunity for the curious as well as the opera fan.
Rob Kearly, GLO Artistic Director, will begin with an illustrated talk about opera and look at the Museum's opera collection from a director's perspective.
In the afternoon he will be joined by Rachel Nicholls (soprano) and Mark Packwood (repetiteur) for a fascinating practical demonstration on how a singer and musical coach prepare for two stylistically diverse roles.
Finishing with a discussion on how performance practice has changed and where the future of opera lies.
At the end there will also be an opportunity to ask the team your burning questions.
