Parlour Song cast update at Almeida!

Cast update for Parlour Song, by Jez Butterworth, which opens at the Almeida Theatre 26 March 209, following previews from 19 March - running to 9 May 2009.

Directed by Ian Rickson , the cast includes Amanda Drew (Joy), Andrew Lincoln (Dale), Toby Jones (Ned).

Amanda Drew's recent London stage credits include "Faces in the Crowd" & "The Ugly One" at the Royal Court in 2008; "Enemies" at the Almeida in 2005; "Blithe Spirit" at the Savoy in 2004. Her TV credits include playing 'Dr May Wright' in EastEnders.

Andrew Lincoln's London stage credits include "Late Henry Moss" at the Almeida in 2006 & Blue/Orange at the Cottesloe and Duchess in 2000/01

Toby Jones' is appearing in "Every Good Boy Deserves Favour" at the Olivier from 12 Jan to 25 Feb. His other London stage credits include "Measure for Measure" , at the Olivier, NT in 2004 & "The Play What I Wrote" at the Wyndham's in 2002.

It is designed by Jeremy Herbert with lighting by Peter Mumford.

Ned and Joy are a married couple. He is a demolition expert, she is a housewife. They live in a house that adjoins neighbour Dale and seventy eight other houses just like theirs. Occasionally they enjoy a game of scrabble. But Ned has a recurring dream and a recurring problem; things keep disappearing. Parlour Song is a comedy that explores what happens when two ordinary people discover they hate who they have become, in a world where all is not what is seems.
