
'Rent' to return to the West End in autumn 2026
Created by Jonathan Larson, the Pulitzer Prize and Tony-winning rock musical follows a group of young artists in New York, as they struggle with addiction and gentrification in the shadow of the HIV/AIDS crisis.
Rent will return to the West End this autumn, as the musical celebrates its 30th anniversary.
Created by Jonathan Larson, the Pulitzer Prize and Tony-winning rock musical follows a group of young artists in New York, as they struggle with addiction and gentrification in the shadow of the HIV/AIDS crisis.
Rent premiered off Broadway in 1996 before transferring to Broadway and, later, the West End. A revival at the Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester ran in 2020.
A teaser for the 2026 revival was shared by Sonia Friedman Productions and Chris Harper Productions on social media.
