Rise Like a Phoenix at Above the Stag Theatre

The Above the Stag Theatre in Vauxhall, south London will present the premiere of new drama Rise Like A Phoenix by Paul Emelion Daly from 8 April to 3 May 2015, with an official opening on 10 April 2015.

"No longer the death sentence it was in the 1980's HIV is still a major life changer and impacts on far more than simply physical health. As one of the characters suggests, 'There are more appropriate moments to disclose your HIV status to a new lover than during the interval at Wicked...'"

The production will star Jonny Dickens, Conleth Kane, Lewis Rae, Dimitrios Raptidis and Reed Stokes, with direction by Tim McArthur, Design by Zoe Hurwitz, Lighting Design by Jack Weir and Sound Design by Jason Kirk.

Writer Paul Emelion Daly's credits include 'When Harry Met Barry', 'Mangina Monologues' and 'Singing Heads and Shopping and Singing'.
