RSC's A Midsummer Night's Dream: A Play for the Nation

The Royal Shakespeare Company have today announced that A Midsummer Night's Dream: A Play for the Nation will run at the Barbican Theatre in central London from 17 to 21 May 2016 in a co-production between the RSC and amateur companies across the UK.

The RSC and the Tower Theatre Company will "perform the nation's favourite Shakespeare play as never before; intertwining professional and amateur actors, who play Bottom and the mechanicals."

The production will arrive at the Barbican following its run in Stratford-upon-Avon and a UK tour. It will feature school children from East London playing Titania's fairy train.

Tickets for the production will go on sale to the general public on 19 Oct 2015.
