The Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Arthur Miller's The Crucible is transferring from Stratford-Upon-Avon to London's Gielgud Theatre in the West End - opening 5 April 2006, following previews from 29 Mar 2006.

When young women are discovered trying to conjure spirits, the town of Salem is gripped by accusations of witchcraft. In a community paralysed by fear and religious extremism, recrimination and greed take a deadly hold.
