Cast update for The Taming Of The Shrew & Henry V at the Shakespeare's Globe Theatre

Simon Paisley Day will play 'Petruchio' opposite previously mentioned Samantha Spiro's Katherine, in The Taming Of The Shrew, by William Shakespeare, directed by Toby Frow. Brutish, fortune-hunting scoundrel Petruchio tames his wealthy shrewish wife, Katharina in this battle of the sexes comedy. Simon Paisley Day's recent theatre credits include Malvolio in Twelfth Night (National Theatre), Private Lives (Vaudeville Theatre and on Broadway) and The Ugly One (Royal Court).

Full cast has been announced for William Shakespeare's Henry V, directed by Dominic Dromgoole, produced by Shakespeare's Globe in association with Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse. Joining previously mentioned Jamie Parker (Henry V), are Brid Brennan (Chorus), Nigel Cooke (Exeter), Sam Cox ( Pistol), Brendan O'Hea (Welsh Captain Fluellen), David Hargreaves ( French King, Nym and Erpingham), Graham Butler, Giles Cooper, Matthew Flynn, Beruce Khan, James Lailey, Paul Rider, Olivia Ross, Chris Starkie, Lisa Stevenson, Roger Watkins. Henry V of England is insulted by the King of France. As a result, he leads his army into battle against France. Along the way, the young king must struggle with the sinking morale of his troops and his own inner doubts. The war culminates at the Battle of Agincourt. (Henry V will tour the UK for six weeks, prior to opening at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre)
