The Shawshank Redemption by Owen O'Neill and Dave Johns, based on the 1982 Stephen King novella, will open at the Wyndham's Theatre 13 Sep 2009, following previews from 4 Sep 2009 - booking to 14 Feb 2010

Directed by Peter Sheridan, the cast includes Reg E Cathey & Kevin Anderson. It is designed by Ferdia Murphy, lighting by Kevin Treacy, sound by Denis Clohessy.

Andy Dufresne is convicted of murdering his wife and her lover and sent to the notorious Shawshank Prison to serve two life sentences. Stripped of his life, family and freedom, Andy is forced to endure a spirit-crushing routine. But with his quiet strength and inner courage there is one thing that Andy never loses - hope.
