Sian Phillips in Lovesong at Lyric Hammersmith & on tour

Sian Phillips has been cast in Lovesong By Abi Morgan, which is at the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre 11 to 28 Jan 2012, as part of a UK tour starting in Plymouth 30 Sep 2011.

Directed by Scott Graham and Steven Hoggett, the production also features Edward Bennett, Sam Cox, Leanne Rowe .

It is produced by Frantic Assembly And Drum Theatre Plymouth Production In Association With Chichester Festival Theatre.

Intertwines a couple in their twenties with the same man and woman a lifetime later. Their past and present selves collide.

Sian Phillips is one of Britain's most respected actors. Her recent stage work includes the role of Juliet in Juliet and her Romeo (Bristol Old Vic), Les Liaisons Dangereuses (Broadway) and Calendar Girls (West End/tour). Her screen work includes her BAFTA-winning role in I, Claudius (BBC TV), as well as such seminal works as Goodbye Mr Chips, Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy and Dune. She has also performed live with musician Rufus Wainwright at the Old Vic, and is a regular on the BBC Radio 4 panel show Just a Minute.
