A new stage production of Sideways, by Rex Pickett will have its UK stage premiere at the St James Theatre in Victoria, from 26 May to 9 July 2016, with an official opening on 31 May 2016.

Based on his novel which inspired the Academy Award and Golden Globe winning film, Rex Pickett's stage adaptation has previously been seen in the USA where it first ran at the Ruskin Group Theater in Santa Monica for 6 months before transferring to the La Jolla Playhouse. It will be directed in London by David Grindley with a full cast and creative team to be announced.

"When a neurotic author, who is writing his way into a midlife-crisis, and an actor, who is marrying his way out of his, head out to Santa Barbara for a week of wine-tastings, they find out that there's more to be savoured in California than a few new bottles. For when Miles and Jack meet the equally strong and complex Maya and Terra, the four of them learn just how intoxicating a good glass of wine and good company can be - for better and for worse."

The UK premiere will be produced by Matt Chisling and Amy Anzel for Pinot Productions Limited.

Tickets for the production are now on sale.
