The musical Singin' in the Rain, opens at the Sadler's Well's Theatre 3 Aug 2004, following previews from 29 July, and booking to 4 Sep 2004, starring Adam Cooper as 'Don Lockwood'

Based on the MGM film. Screenplay and adaptation by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, Songs by Nacio Herb Brown and Arthur Freed.

Produced by Sadler's Wells / Leicester Haymarket Theatre, it is directed by Paul Kerryson.

Set in 1930s Hollywood where Lina Lamont, a great star of the silent movie era is having difficulty with the transition to talkies because she is afflicted with a truly horrible voice. Songs include: Good Morning, Make 'em Laugh, Moses Supposes and, of course, the 'most famous song and dance sequence of all time Singin' in the Rain'.

Adam Cooper is a former principal dancer with the Royal Ballet and star of Adventures in Motion Pictures' all-male "Swan Lake". He starred as the lead in Rodgers and Hart's musical "On Your Toes" at the Royal Festival Hall last year.
