Siobhan Dillon cast as Patty Simcox in Grease

Siobhan Dillon has been cast as 'Patty Simcox' in Grease, which opens at the Piccadilly Theatre 8 Aug 2007, following previews from 25 July - booking to 23 Feb 2008.

Making her West End debut in Grease, Siobhan was discovered by David Ian and Andrew Lloyd Webber during their search for a leading lady in The Sound Of Music. She was one of the final three in BBC1’s How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria? and has since been writing and recording her debut album. Performing in the West End has been a lifelong ambition for Siobhan who is “utterly thrilled to be treading the boards at the Piccadilly Theatre…It’s absolutely a dream come true.”

Producer David Ian says of her, “I knew that Siobhan was something special when I first saw her for The Sound of Music and I am very pleased that she will be joining the cast of Grease.”

ITV’s reality program 'Grease is the Word' is currently searching for two unknown performers to take the roles of Danny and Sandy.

Grease is written by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, with additional songs B Gibb, J Farrar, L St Louis & S Simon.

It is directed by David Gilmore, choreography by Arlene Phillips, and produced by Paul Nicholas and David Ian by arrangement with Robert Stigwood.

Songs from the show include 'Grease (Is The Word)'; 'You're The One That I Want'; 'Greased Lightning'; 'Hopelessly Devoted To You' and 'Sandy'.
