Terence Wilton and Max Hutchinson cast in The Woman in Black
New casting has been announced for the West End production of The Woman in Black, the horror which has been terrifying audiences at the Fortune Theatre for almost 30 years.
The play, which is based on the novel by Susan Hill, follows Arthur Kipps as he enlists the help of an actor to assist him in retelling his story of a haunted trip to a house in rural England where he encounters a ghost he believes has cast a spell over his family.
Terence Wilton to return as Arthur Kipps
Terence Wilton will return to the west End production to play Arthur Kipps, having previously played the role at the Fortune Theatre in 2017. His previous credits include Never So Good at the National Theatre, Treatment at the Donmar Warehoues, and War Music at the Old Vic.
Max Hutchinson to play The Actor
Max Hutchinson will play the role of the actor in the West End production. He has previously appeared in One Man, Two Guvnors at Theatre Royal Haymarket, and recently features in the Downton Abbey film.
Chris Gilling will be the understudy Arthur Kipps, while Raymond Rose will be understudy for The Actor.
The Woman in Black is directed by Robin Herford, with designs by Michael Hall and lighting by Kevin Sleep.
The Woman in Black is currently booking at the fortune Theatre until March 2021.
