The Etienne Sisters - world premiere at Stratford

The Theatre Royal Stratford East will present the world premiere of The Etienne Sisters, written and directed by Chè Walker, with songs by Anoushka Lucas and additional songs by Sheila Atim, from 10 September 2015, until 3 October 2015, with an official opening on 16 September.

The production features set design by Ti Green, lighting by Arnim Friess and sound by Sarah Weltman. The all-female cast includes Allyson Ava-Brown (Bo), Jennifer Saayeng (Ree) and Nina Toussaint-White (Tree), with Nikki Yeoh on piano.

Synopsis: "Families have their cracks, secrets and baggage, with the Etienne's being no exception. Should families stick together through thick and thin? Should they always be there for each other in time of need? What happens when the family rock is taken away from you? Find out how Tree, Ree and their estranged half-sister Bo handle the challenges that life throws at them. Will they create a much-needed family bond? Or will the sisters destroy all that is left of their family and each other?"

The Etienne Sisters was workshopped at Theatre Royal Stratford East in September 2014. Writers Chè Walker and Anoushka Lucas have previously worked together on 'Klook's Last Stand' at the Park Theatre in north London.
