The Kindness of Strangers by curious directive

curious directive and Norfolk and Norwich Festival presents The Kindness of Strangers, conceived by Jack Lowe and Russell Woodhead and directed by Jack Lowe. Audience members are invited to the Southwark Playhouse, near Elephant & Castle in south London, however, the 60 minute production takes place in a moving ambulance, which will depart from the venue. There will be six performances daily (except Sunday 06 Jul 2014) at 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm, 7pm, and 9pm.

Synopsis: 'It's 7:03pm on the front-line of the NHS ambulance service. Sylvia is on her last shift. Lisa is on her first. The two women patrol the city streets, encountering the full spectrum of human experience. A once in a life time journey into the world of the paramedic, where the audience are invited into the back of a moving ambulance to witness all that comes with a night shift. A life-affirming tale of friendship and kindness from the most unlikely of places.'

The cast of The Kindness of Strangers includes Fiona Drummond, Emily Lloyd-Saini, and Sarah Woodward.

The Kindness of Strangers is produced by Daisy Cooper and features sound design by Jo Walker, video design by Jasmine Robinson and composition by Adam Alston. The production is recommended for ages 14+.
