Tickets now on sale for The Ocean at the End of the Lane at the National Theatre
The National Theatre's chilling production of The Ocean at the End of the Lane is set to transfer to the Duke of York's Theatre following a sell-out run in the Dorfman in 2019, and tickets for the exciting transfer are now on sale.
Based on Neil Gaiman's award-winning novel, Joel Horwood's stage adaptation follows a man returning to his childhood home, where memories of his 12th birthday party come flooding back. Playing with his friend Lettie on the banks of what they thought was a pond, they were plunged through an ocean into a magical world, where they must battle to survive against these unknown forces in a newfound underworld.
Directed by Katy Rudd, the play premiered in the Dorfman Theatre at the National Theatre to glowing reviews, predominantly praising the show's magical stage craft, designs and stellar performances. It has been nominated for three Olivier Awards, and you can read more reasons to see the show in our special feature on the play.
The Ocean at the End of the Lane is set to run at the Duke of York's Theatre from 31st October 2020 (appropriately, Halloween night), and tickets are now on sale.
Casting for the West End production is yet to be announced, however, the National Theatre run starred Samuel Blenkin and Marli Siu as the nameless man and Lettie respectively, and Josie Walker for a role she has received an Olivier nomination for.
