The play by Henrik Ibsen, english language version by Simon Stephens, directed by Carrie Cracknell, featuring Hattie Morahan (Nora) and Dominic Rowan (Torvald), opened on 9 July 2012, following previews from 29 June, to good notices from the popular press: Henry Hitchings for The Evening Standard says, "This is a sexy, passionate interpretation." Michael Billington for The Guardian says, "Carrie Cracknell's production certainly puts a new spin on Ibsen's 1879 classic.
