"Abigail's Party" reduces booking period by 6 weeks to 12 July 2003 at the Whitehall

Mike Leigh's Abigail's Party has reduced its booking period by 6 weeks to 12 July 2003 at the Whitehall Theatre (It was originally booking to 23 Aug 03).

The play was revived by the Hampstead theatre last year when it played 10 July - 28 Sep 02 & 14 Oct - 9 Nov 02. The show then transferred to the New Ambassadors Theatre on 3 Dec 02 where it ran to 5 Apr 03, before transferring to the Whitehall Theatre on 9 April 03.

The cast features Elizabeth Berrington, (Beverly), Philip Bird (Laurence); Amelda Brown (Susan); Elizabeth Chadwick (Angela); Jake Wood (Tony).

It is directed by David Grindley, designed by Jonathan Fensom, with lighting by Jason Taylor.

It's the year of the Queen's Silver Jubilee: the Sex Pistols are gearing up to blow Donna Summer and Demis Roussos out of the charts forever, while the suburbs are awash with the new money and social aspiration which would sweep the Conservatives into power for the next twenty years...
